BLOG > Hacking the PopShop (A Year Ago)

This project was featured on hackaday.com on 07/10/2013

A year ago, we built a ridiculous light/music automation system using image recognition, AC relays, Arduino, custom TCP/IP servers, and 3D printers … in only 24 hours. I finally got around to editing the raw footage into a showcase video (a year later). Despite my tardiness, it’s still a super cool project. For the full run-down, including links to the source code, the uncut presentation video, and more, visit my “Hack the PopShop” portfolio entry. The follow video gives a brief introduction to the system and shows a demo of it in action. We built the whole thing in 24 hours, and won the hack-a-thon competition.

  1. LOL, You got to love geeks. You guys put a lot of work into this and it will pay off in the future. Pattern recognition is a hot field to be in in the design world when it comes to making manufacturing processing equipment . Any way I am getting off subject. – You guys and this project rocks!
